The massive Green Wall on top of the “Tokyu Plaza” project forms a magnificent frame to the roof-top plaza area which creates much needed urban space in Tokyo’s dense Ginza Area.

Japanese Architects Nikken Sekkei have successfully combined the aesthetic value of green walls to create an air freshened respite and a place to recharge, before returning the surrounding shopping frenzied environments.

Nikken Sekkei have an impressive portfolio of projects which demonstrate their sustainability expertise.  Their recent Singapore mixed use project achieved the 2018 ‘Best Building’ in the World Architecture Festival late last year, judged by the AGDF’s Mark Thomson.  A visit to their website is well worthwhile.
