Natasha Prasek, Senior Architect and Sustainability Lead at PDT Architects.
Natasha is a Queensland registered Architect with more than 20 years experience including 4 years in the UK. Architecturally, Natasha has always favored the application of sustainability first principles, such as good passive design, adaptability and resilience, before overlaying innovative strategies and technologies. In addition to project work at PDT Architects focusing on retail, education and health, Natasha is the PDT sustainability lead, advising on internal operations, staff education and project sustainability. During her time in the UK, Natasha practiced at Associate level in retail-led urban renewal, where she developed a thorough understanding of the issues associated with city / town center regeneration, remediation of brownfield sites and the retrofitting of existing buildings. Natasha’s portfolio spans speculative and competition work through to award winning developments, and includes extensive work in BIM.
Natasha enjoys people and practice management and, in addition to her architectural degrees, holds a Diploma of Sustainability and has training in the UK’s BREEAM and Australia’s Green Star rating tools. She is currently a GBCA Green Star Associate, member of the Alternative Technologies Association (ATA), Australian Green Development Forum (AGDF) board member and advocate for the cultivation of a sustainable construction industry.
Aside from her work in architecture, Natasha enjoys time with her young family and sustainable travels to out of the way places.
